Fun Food for the Porch: Episode 2 – The Durian Mereh: King of Fruits

This episode features the Durian fruit. The durian is a large Malaysian fruit that looks like a round cactus. It is outlawed by many airlines for its nauseating odor. Its innards have the consistency of custard, and smell a lot like socks and onions.

Fun Food for the Porch is an ongoing series where weird food is shared and discussed on my friend Katie’s porch. These were shot using the video function on point and shoot digital cameras. Using these cameras helped maintain the casual feeling of hanging out and being spontaneous.
